What is Orientation?
Summer Orientation is the beginning of your time on the MSMC campus! It is an engaging orientation program that will introduce you to all the amazing opportunities for you at the Mount, and show you how to use the many resources available to you as a Knight. The program is mandatory for all new students at the College. The program covers topics such as: Knight Life, Student Resources, Mount Mission, Academic Preparedness, and more! As such, we want to remind you that you are responsible for adhering to the MSMC Student Code of Conduct. College staff will go over policies in your orientation sessions, however, please ensure you are familiar with College policies by viewing the online MSMC Student Handbook linked below. These policies are in place to ensure that everyone has a beneficial orientation experience!

You will familiarize yourself with classes, classmates, and professors, learn academic expectations, and identify resources available should you need extra support. Every first-year student will be assigned to an academic coach in the Office of Student Success to help you navigate your first year at college. On a personal level, you will get to know your peers, roommate(s), and become involved in student life. The Student Engagement Office, Student Government Association, and the Mount Activities Board will sponsor many student-run organizations and on-campus events for both residents and commuters, especially during the first month of school.
Transfer students will attend Transfer Orientation scheduled for August 14th. Register here.
