Maureen Markel
Professor Emerita of Information Technology
Maureen Markel, professor emerita of information technology, came to the Mount in 1976 and was an active part of the Division of Math and Information Technology and the campus community for more than four decades. During her time at the Mount, Maureen served as chair of the division and helped to oversee the development of several new programs. At the college’s 2017 Commencement ceremony, Markel was given the Faculty Award for her dedication to education.
