Micah Modell
Assistant Professor of Information Technology
Bio
After years as a professional software developer, Micah switched gears and moved into education. He completed his Masters in Instructional Design, Development & Evaluation while teaching English to K-12 students in South Korea and later as an Curriculum Manager for Red Hat, based in New York City. Later, Micah moved to Bloomington, IN, to earn a PhD in Instructional Systems Technology where he focused on computer-supported collaborative learning analytics and human-computer interaction design. After spending time as a faculty member in South Korea, Micah returned to New York to join the faculty at Mount Saint Mary College. Micah relishes the opportunity to conduct independent studies with his students and, every summer, Micah entices enthusiastic students to work with him as colleagues in the Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) Program.
