Humanities@Work – Interdisciplinary degree
Students study a variety of humanities subjects as they progress through six theme areas intended to sharpen essential skills. This unique program offers a reduced tuition of $6,500 a year and deeply immersive service and internship programing. For fullest engagement, students will live on campus.
Exercise Science – Natural Sciences major
This major immerses students in the workings of the body, its needs under physical and emotional stress, and how these factors affect life. Coursework includes training in exercise physiology, kinesiology, biomechanics, nutrition, and injury prevention. The major prepares students for the workforce as well as providing excellent preparation for professional study such as Occupational or Physical Therapy, Physician Assistant, or medical school.
Sports Management – Business major
This program provides a focus on both business and the sports industry, while stressing the importance of ethical awareness for future leaders within the Sports Management field. The curriculum offers training in business management and administration by providing specialized instruction in Management, Marketing, Finance, Economics, Business Law, and Accounting.
Pre-Health Professions – Touro College and LECOM (3+4 Programs)
The Mount has signed agreements with Touro College and Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) providing multiple pathways in the fields of Dentistry (4+4), Osteopathic Medicine, and Pharmacy. Students earn their bachelor's degree in Biology at the Mount and then transition into their doctoral degree, in all but one of these after only 3 years of undergraduate study.
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner – Master's and Post-Master's Certificate
The new PMHNP program focuses on care for clients of all ages and backgrounds with mental health issues and psychiatric disorders, with particular attention on the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of psychiatric clients across the lifespan, as well as mental health promotion and psychiatric disease prevention.
Human Computer Interaction (HCI) – Information Technology concentration
The HCI concentration allows students to study the effects of technology on human life from a holistic perspective. Combining courses in Information Technology, Psychology, and Mathematics provides them the opportunity to view technology from an analytical stance and improve the user's experience.
Cybersecurity – Information Technology certificate program
Students not seeking a four-year Cybersecurity or IT degree are eligible for all three certificate options: Cybersecurity, Ethical Hacking, and Digital Forensics. The Cybersecurity Certificate provides the theoretical background and hands-on experience to understand cybersecurity risk and management, cryptography, and network security. Ethical Hacking teaches hacking skills, including understanding of modern operating systems and network vulnerabilities, exploits, and defenses. Digital Forensics, delves into foundational cybersecurity concepts, laws, and policies, as well as the workings of cyber crimes, threat and defense mechanisms of modern operating systems, and underlying concepts of computer forensic investigations including preservation, extraction, analysis and investigation of digital evidence from individual computers, network components and servers, and mobile devices.
Visual Communication–Graphic Design – Communication, Art, and Digital Media major
This new major involves the study of visual communication with an emphasis on conceptual problem-solving and technical proficiency. It prepares students with the knowledge and skills to conceptually develop and execute design solutions according to the needs of audiences and in the context for which the communication is intended. Today's graphic designers work digitally along with analog and are professional leaders working in branding, UX/UI (User Interface/User Experience Design), packaging, interactive design, publication design, and corporate communications.
5-Year undergraduate to MBA programs
Students are now able to transition seamlessly from their undergraduate program in Biology, Chemistry, English, and Mathematics into our Masters of Business Administration, allowing them to complete both degrees within 5 years. Incoming freshmen may select this option upon their acceptance at the Mount.
Sports Journalism – Journalism concentration
In this new concentration, students will begin their Journalism major with foundational courses intended to prepare them for the Journalism field. Courses will then shift toward a focus in areas specific to sports reporting, including but not limited to play-by-play, remote production, and color commentary. Students will also learn the role journalists play in our society and how that role specifically applies to the sports industry.
