A group of Mount Saint Mary College students and professors savored the last days of summer with a hike up Mount Beacon on Wednesday, September 8.
The group hiked up the Mount Beacon trail and made it to the former hotel site, overlooking the Hudson.
The hike was organized by Knight Outdoor Pursuits and Education (KOPE). KOPE is led by Douglas Robinson Jr., associate professor of Biology at the Mount. Robinson is an evolutionary biologist. He has taught classes on animal behavior, ecology, ornithology, vertebrate biology, general biology, environmental science, and human anatomy and physiology.
