Mount Saint Mary College helped young students kick off the school year by donating book bags, glue, crayons, and other essential school supplies to the college’s United Way Back-to-School Drive.
The college’s Career Center sponsored the drive, to which Mount faculty and staff contributed. The items were donated to the United Way of Dutchess-Orange Region the week before classes resumed at the college.
Kathleen O’Keefe, director of the Career Center, spearheaded the Mount’s efforts.
“I love seeing the Mount community come together to help out local kids,” she said. “It’s been a very rewarding experience for us all.”
