Mount Saint Mary College recently received impressive accolades for its long-term return on investment and its prestigious Nursing program.
Top 10 percent for return on investment
The Mount ranks in the top 10 percent nationally among 4,500 colleges and universities for return-on-investment at 30 years and beyond, according to a recent report by Georgetown University Center for Education and the Workforce 2022.
This is based on the net present value (NVP), or how much a sum of money in the future is valued today. This metric includes costs, future earnings, and the length of time it would take to invest and earn a specific amount of money over a fixed horizon.

Excellence in Nursing education
The Nursing Schools Almanac 2022 rankings of the best U.S. nursing schools recently named the Mount one of the top Nursing schools in three categories:
- The 100 Best Nursing Schools in the Mid-Atlantic: 77th (New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, and Delaware)
- The 90 Best Nursing School in New York: 27th
- The 75 Best Nursing Schools in the New York City Metro Area: 21st
The rankings include data on 3,000 institutions. Only 20 percent made the list of the best nursing schools in each geographic region.
