Mount Saint Mary College faculty joined the Office of Student Success to share their educational careers with students during the “Professors are People Too” talk on Tuesday, September 20.

Professors from a variety of disciplines came to share their own journeys as students and how the challenges they faced brought them to where they are today. Uncertainty about one’s future career and rerouting one’s academic “path” is sometimes necessary, they noted.

Mount Academic Coach and Adviser Dayna Dwyer said, “Oftentimes, hearing the personal stories of professors helps students feel more comfortable and opens their eyes to new perspectives.”

On the panel were Susan Cook, adjunct instructor of Education and Psychology; Linda Kelly, assistant professor of Nursing; and Tom Sarro, professor of Biology.
