Mount Saint Mary College hosted the Mid-Hudson American Chemical Society’s 22nd Undergraduate Research Symposium – which showcased the original research of about 150 area college students – on Friday, April 29.
Participants hailed from SUNY New Paltz, Vassar College, Marist College, the United States Military Academy at West Point, Ramapo College, Bard College, and more.
Attendees also enjoyed a keynote speech by Darryl A. Boyd, research chemist in the Optical Sciences Division of the US Naval Research Laboratory. Boyd’s presentation was called “Fabrication of High Refractive Index, Infrared Transmitting Organically Modified Chalcogenide (ORMOCHALC) Polymers.”
