The world of business is constantly evolving, and the Career Center Advisory Committee at Mount Saint Mary College is making sure that the Mount grows with it.
The committee brings together Career Center staff, Mount faculty, community members, and business leaders to examine the needs of employers and develop new ways to help Mount students meet those needs.
“This committee is vital in best serving our students – from conversations about 21st century workforce needs to insights on most valued skillsets,” explained Kathleen O’Keefe, director of the Career Center.
Other topics of interest discussed by the committee include new business and economic trends, marketable employee skills, current and potential internship opportunities, and feedback on Career Center programs and initiatives.
With the information these meetings provide, the Mount’s Career Center can tailor its programming to better meet student and employer needs and provide students with the most up-to-date advice on marketing themselves to employers.
The Mount Saint Mary College Career Center provides a wide variety of career related programs and opportunities to Mount students and alumni such as career assessments, internship searches, professional skill development, job search assistance, and study abroad opportunities.
The Career Center is often credited by Mount graduates for providing powerful, proven, and practical tools to help shape their post-graduate portfolio. More than just a student program, the Career Center provides students and alumni with life-long tools for success and advancement.
