Mount Saint Mary College will be hosting a COVID-19 vaccine and booster clinic on-campus on Monday, March 21 from 1:30 to 4 p.m.
The event is one of the first to be offered by the college's new Desmond Center for Community Engagement and Wellness.
The clinic is free and open to the public. The college is located at 330 Powell Ave. in Newburgh. Registration is suggested, but walk-ins will be accepted. To register, visit msmc.edu/BoosterClinic
Pfizer and Moderna vaccines and boosters will be available. You may take any booster, regardless of what version of the vaccination you received.
Please note:
- Bring a copy of your insurance card with you, if you have insurance. If you are uninsured, you will still receive your vaccine/booster.
- If you have an appointment, please arrive 10 minutes prior to complete paperwork.

The clinic is being provided by Newburgh's Medical Arts Pharmacy with the support of the Mount's School of Nursing.
The Desmond Center will be located on the Mount campus in what was previously Guzman Hall. Renovations are currently underway. The center, planned to be completed by next year, will provide wellness and educational services for underserved individuals and families, including the uninsured.
Funded in part by grants from the Mother Cabrini Health Foundation and New York State's Higher Education Capital (HECap) program, the Desmond Center will offer educational workshops, family counseling services, fitness checks, immunizations, professional development events, and more for the local community. Once completed, the college expects the center to serve more than 4,000 residents per year.
Desmond Center programing is already underway, being spearheaded by Genesis Ramos, executive director of the center.
