Gina Trask, assistant librarian for Assessment and Instruction at Mount Saint Mary College’s Kaplan Family Library and Learning Center, was recently reelected as Board President of the Southeastern New York Library Resources Council.
Before taking on the president role, Trask had served as Vice President of the board. She has been on the board for five years.
“It has been a busy and productive five years with a wonderful group of engaged colleagues,” said Trask. “I welcome the opportunity to continue serving the mission of Southeastern in my next tenure.”
Southeastern is one of nine Empire State Library Council organizations in New York State. The member network of hundreds of academic, hospital, institutional, school and public libraries, historical societies, archives and museums exists to share library resources and professional expertise for the betterment of the organizations' users.
Southeastern trustees are currently supporting efforts to grow services related to digital access and equity, like their recent service, Digital Navigators of the Hudson Valley. Digital Navigators assist community members in internet adoption, affordable internet access, the use of computing devices, and more.
