Mount Saint Mary College’s Communications, Art, and Digital Media (CADM) students will present the best media of the semester at the annual CMA Show on Friday, April 21 at 6 p.m. on campus.
The show is free and open to the public. It will take place in Room 218 of Aquinas Hall, 330 Powell Ave., Newburgh, N.Y.
The show will feature a collection of short films, animations, video clips, graphic designs, radio programs from the college’s own Knight Radio, and photographs by Mount students.
Films will include a piece on Mount Saint Mary College’s partnership with Hudson Link for Higher Education in Prison and comedy clips from the student-made TV show Last Friday Knight, as well as other short films about Nintendo, off-campus life, a story about an introvert who finds friendship with the help of his dog, a mockumentary, and more.
The Mount’s CADM programs encompass the study of digital media production, graphic design, and journalism. CADM also offers minors in each of these disciplines, as well as in art and film studies. Housed in the Mount's Division of Arts and Letters, CADM programs prepare students for both traditional and emerging professions.
CADM recently added a major in Visual Communication-Graphic Design. Students in this program study visual communication with an emphasis on conceptual problem-solving and technical proficiency.
