Mount Saint Mary College students introduced their families to the Knight life during the college's Family Weekend, October 15-17.
The weekend was packed with events intended to immerse families in the Mount's vibrant campus community, including a campus walking tour with details on the history of the college, a club fair showcasing the Mount's dozens of clubs, a residence life open house, and more.
On Saturday, some division-specific presentations were held for the families of students in those majors. The Division of Education invited families to tour the Newburgh Armory Unity Center, where their students work to educate young learners of Newburgh. The School of Nursing showed guests the Mount's state-of-the-art Simulation and Learning Center, where Nursing students practice their skills. And Business students pitched a product or idea to a panel of judges in their own Shark Tank event.
In addition, families wrote a love letter to their student with words of encouragement for the end-of-semester crunch time, which the college will mail to them before finals in May.
The weekend ended with a family dinner on Saturday night, followed by an entertaining talent show, and mass the next morning.
